Under the No Child Left Behind Act and the National Defense Authorization Act, military recruiters are entitled to receive the names, addresses and telephone numbers of high school juniors and seniors. If you wish for your child's information to be withdrawn from the list released to recruiters, please express your wishes in writing no later than October 30. An online form is available for your convenience at our District webpage, www.horrycountyschools.net or the homepage of your child's high school. You may fax your request to 843.488.6779 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Information will be released to recruiters on or about November 1. Requests are valid for one year and must be resubmitted annually.
