MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – One of two people wanted by the Myrtle Beach Police Department in connection to an armed robbery on October 9 has been arrested.

The victim of that robbery, an employee of a Myrtle Beach motel, called officers stating he met with one of the suspects an hour prior before he called the police. He told officers he knows the suspects, 19-year-old David Dennis and 28-year-old Deeanna Dennis.

The victim said he recently helped Deeanna by letting her stay with him at his home while she was going through a separation from her husband, David. Deeanna texted the victim on October 9 to ask to borrow money from him. He asked that she not come to his work but later agreed to meet her nearby in a parking lot at 2:15 p.m.

When Deeanna arrived, the victim thought she was alone. She again asked him for money, but he refused. At this point, Deeanna pulled out a hand gun and pointed it at him, again asking for money. Then, the victim said Deeanna's husband David came from somewhere and punched him near his midsection. Deeanna also struck him on the head with the handgun, and David swung at him again. Then the suspects took his wallet.

Deeanna Dennis was arrested and charged with armed robbery. If you have any information about this crime, call 918-1912.
