DEU, sheriff's office busts 4 in Georgetown Co.

GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) - After a joint investigation by the 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit and the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office, four men are behind bars.

The operation took place around 8:30 p.m. on October 10 as agents responded to the Three Door disco off Micah Road in the Plantersville Community in Georgetown County. The business had been the topic of several citizen complaints concerning narcotics.

Four Georgetown men were arrested and face the following charges:

Shaton Porcher

  • 3 counts Possession with Intent to Distribute (PWID) Marijuana, Crack & Cocaine Near School or Park
  • PWID Cocaine
  • PWID Crack

Malcolm Myers

  • 2 counts of PWID Near School (Crack & Cocaine)
  • PWID Cocaine
  • Trafficking in Cocaine
  • Possession of Marijuana

Jeremy Jermaine Grate

  • Possession of Cocaine
  • Unlawful Carry of a Loaded Pistol.

Marque Devon Morant

  • Manufacture/Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute Near a School or Park
  • PWID marijuana.

Authorities seized 16 grams of marijuana, 36 grams of cocaine, 5.5 grams of crack cocaine and a loaded handgun.
