LAURINBURG, NC (WMBF) – A medical examiner has identified the skeletal remains that were discovered in a wooded area in Laurinburg on October 9.
Laurinburg Police officers responded to the area near Kinlaw Drive around 5 p.m. that day after a person walking in the area discovered the remains, stated Assistant Chief Cliff Sessoms.
The Scotland County Medical Examiner responded to the scene and the State Bureau of Investigation responded to aid in the removal of the remains.
The remains have been identified as Angela Tiyetta Terry. She was 27 years old when she was reported missing in June 2004.
