CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – October is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, and Conway Medical Center will hold its 13th Annual Walk to Remember on Sunday, October 13.
Each October CMC holds a ceremony and symbolic walk dedicated to all of the babies who die each year because of pregnancy loss, stillbirth or newborn death.
The walk will be held at the CMC Patient Services and Birthplace entrance from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., and refreshments and fellowship will follow the walk.
Families who have lost an infant or child are invited to participate. The walk joins people nationwide who are working to raise awareness on perinatal grief to ensure that sensitive care is given to parents who experience the death of a baby.
Anyone interested in attending the ceremony and/or who would like to have their babies remembered should contact the CMC Birthplace at 843-347-8007.
