Vacant Conway home a total loss after fire Sunday, Chief says

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – Conway Fire responded to a call for a structure fire around 8:18 a.m. Sunday on Highway 378, said Battalion Chief Jeremy Carter.

Firefighters found the vacant home at 505 Wright Blvd ablaze when they arrived on the scene. Battalion Chief Carter says the home was a total loss.

Conway Fire was assisted by Horry County Fire Rescue, and luckily, there were no injuries to any of the firefighters who worked the fire.

Highway 378 was shut down after the fire but reopened after two hours.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
