HCPD: Conway pizza delivery driver robbed at gunpoint

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – The Horry County Police Department "Official Page" on Facebook is asking the public for assistance in tracking down a suspect wanted for robbing a pizza delivery driver at gunpoint.

The police report from the HCPD says that on September 23, a pizza delivery driver was on Brown Drive in Conway finishing a delivery when the robbery occurred.

The victim said he received payment for the delivery and returned to his vehicle. In the process of putting the pizza bag in the back seat, someone put a hand on the car door to keep it from closing. The victim said the suspect then placed a handgun directly against his chin and demanded for his money.

The suspect took money the victim had just received and fled on foot. The victim said he followed the suspect in his car until the suspect ran behind a house and disappeared.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately five feet and ten inches tall, weighing around 170 pounds. Described as 20-25 years-old, the suspect was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt that was partially covering his face, and dark jeans.

The suspect was last seen running in the direction of Hatteras Drive. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact the HCPD at 843-915-TIPS.
