Georgetown blood drives enter donors for chance to win tailgate prizes

Posted: Updated:

GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) – Are you a Gamecock or a Tiger fan? Georgetown Memorial Hospital is hosting blood drives, and anyone who donates will be entered in a drawing to win a South Carolina and Clemson tailgate basket to be awarded the week the teams square off.

The blood drives will be on Friday, October 4, at the Georgetown Memorial Hospital, October 24 at HealthPoint Center for Health and Fitness, and on November 1 at Waccamaw Community Hospital.

The team with the most donations will be announced after each blood drive. Every donor's name will be entered into a drawing that will be announced the week of the game. All donors will receive a jar opener and an ice cream or soda coupon as well as the opportunity to enter the drawing.

Appointments will take priority, but walk-ins are also welcome. To make an appointment, call 843-527-7173 or go to www.redcrossblood.org

Donors must have a valid ID, be healthy, at least 17-years-old and weigh at least 10 pounds.

So, do you bleed orange or garnet?
