FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - Thanks to a tip from witnesses, a man involved in two Pee Dee area burglaries is behind bars.

One of those burglaries occurred at D's Pit Stop at 5117 South Irby Street just after midnight on September 18, according to investigators. The suspect allegedly stole an undetermined amount of cash after breaking through the glass front door.

Police released photos and video of that burglary showing the man was driving a white Cadillac Escalade.

When the Evergreen Express on Pamplico Highway was burglarized in the early morning hours of September 25, witnesses recognized the car from the news and called police. The car was then traced back to 37-year-old Levon Junior Clemons.

Clemons has been arrested and charged with two counts of burglary.
