FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – Three people were arrested on Saturday after one victim was allegedly stabbed and another was struck on the head during a gathering at a home near Timmonsville.

Florence resident John James Parker, 19, was arrested and charged with one count of attempted murder and one count of possession of a weapon curing commission of a violent crime, according to a news release from the Florence County Sheriff's Office. Michael Munn, 23, from Florence, and 19-year-old Cody Altman from Effingham, were also arrested and charged with one count of breach of peace each.

Investigators allege that at some point during a gathering at a residence in the 4000 block of Twin Church Road, Parker stabbed a victim multiple times. Another victim was struck in the head with a blunt object, the news release states. Both victims required medical attention, and were taken to a nearby hospital in a private vehicle.

Parker was released from the Florence County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond on Sunday, and Munn and Altman were also released on Sunday on $1,200 bonds.

The investigation is ongoing, officials stated, and more charges and arrests are possible.
