MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Myrtle Beach Police are asking the public's help in identifying a man possibly involved in a fraud case with a cloned credit card.

On September 7, the Myrtle Beach Police Department received an e-mail from a man in Arizona, stating that his credit card was used at a Myrtle Beach Walmart, even though he has never been to South Carolina, according to the police report.

Officers obtained video from the store showing a man using a card on August 31 to purchase a $500 gift card. The staff said the card has not been used and will be canceled.

Anyone with information that could assist MBPD in identifying or locating the man is asked to contact MBPD at 843-918-1382, or the Criminal Investigations Division at 843-918-1975, and reference case #13-019280.
