When kids go to school, parents expect their kids are safe. That means school leaders have to enforce rules… every time.
Many people were upset about a situation at Carolina Forest High School saying school leaders mishandled the situation when a homeless teen was hanging out in the parking lot. They wanted school officials to help the young man rather than file charges. But if that person got out of the car with a gun and started shooting, how would you feel? Would you have criticized the school for allowing the child on the campus?
In today's world there is no gray when it comes to school safety. It is black and white. People can't roam the campus unless they have permission to be there, and people who break the rules should be held accountable. Keeping school campuses safe is a top priority, and school officials handled this situation correctly.
