MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Police suspect a man fired several shots at a Myrtle Beach Denny's Sunday morning after being escorted from the restaurant for loudly cursing.

Myrtle Beach Police responded to a report of shots fired at the Denny's at 800 South Kings Highway at about 6:15 a.m. Sunday, according to a MBPD report. Officers spoke to a security guard who said he heard about eight gunshots coming from the back parking lot.

The guard told officers he had issues with a customer being loud and using foul language, the report states. The customer was asked to leave, was escorted to the door, and said that he would be back.

In-store surveillance video shows about 20 minutes passed between the altercation and the shots fired at the restaurant. Officers collected shell casings and found holes inside the building where bullets had entered.

The guard described the suspect as a 25 to 35-year-old African-American man, about 6-foot-3-inches tall, about 250 pounds in weight, with close-cropped hair. He was wearing a dark t-shirt and jeans, and was seen getting into a dark blue older model Crown Victoria, with differently-color door panels.
