MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach Police arrested a 33-year-old woman at an apartment building on Pinegrove Drive for attempted murder, according to a police report from the Myrtle Beach Police Department.

Officers say when they responded to the apartment Monday morning, they spoke to Amber Sunshine Manning, who said, "I heard voices and I stabbed her."

The victim, Manning's mother, said she was sleeping in her bed when Manning stabbed her in the back and said "I'm going to kill you," according to the police report.

Officers said the victim had a small laceration on the upper portion of her back, and was taken to the hospital.

After Manning was read her rights, she requested a lawyer before saying anything else to law enforcement.
