Helicopter spots marijuana plants at Florence home

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - A Florence man was arrested after a helicopter spotted marijuana plants growing at his house.

The SLED helicopter that flew over 27-year-old Raymond Wilson's Fourth Street home was assisting narcotics investigators with the Florence County Sheriff's Office with their marijuana eradication efforts.

From the air, officers saw plants growing at the home and a man trying to dispose of them. When officers on the ground arrive at Wilson's home, they found even more marijuana inside.

Raymond Wilson was arrested and charged with manufacturing marijuana.
