MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Police are looking for a credit card suspect who apparently made several fraudulent purchases with a victim's card while the victim still had his card on him.

On August 27, police responded to a report of credit card fraud. When the officer arrived, the victim explained that on the previous day, he made a purchase at the "Vava Vape" store on Seaboard Street, then went to Coastal Grand Mall to continue shopping.

According to the police report, the man got a call from his bank to confirm some suspicious activity, and the victim learned his card had been used at two Kangaroo Express locations and the Purple Haze Smoke Shop.

The victim told the officer that he had his debit card on him the entire day. The victim obtained several receipts showing the suspect had used the victim's card when paying for items, and the officer obtained video surveillance footage showing the suspect.

The suspect was described in the report as a white or multiracial man standing about 5-foot-9-inches tall, weighing 175 to 185 pounds, with a five o'clock shadow. The man may be driving a late-model silver Chevy Malibu.

Anyone who may be able to identify the suspect is asked to call the MBPD at 843-918-1906, and reference incident numbers: 13-018769, 13-018772, & 13-018800.
