Two ejected from car in Florence crash

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - Emergency crews in Florence assisted SC Highway Patrol on the scene of a serious crash where two person was ejected from the car.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol's website says the crash occurred around 3:54 p.m. on West Jody Road at Hoffmeyer Road, and there were injuries.

The West Florence Fire Department and Florence County EMS were also called to the scene.

Three people had been injured, and two of them had been ejected from the car that struck a light poll and rolled over into a field, says Fire Captain Anthony Fox.

All three passengers were taken to the hospital, but their current conditions have not been released. Duke Energy is working to fix the power pole.

SCHP is still working to determine the cause of the crash.
