FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - Thanks to a witness and their brave actions, a young Florence man has been arrested and charged with strong armed robbery.

That man, 24-year-old Calvin Rakeen Mouzon, was spotted taken a wallet by force on East Cemetery Road around 1 p.m. Monday. A witness called 911, then chased Mouzon down until Florence County Sheriff's deputies arrived, Sheriff Kenney Boone posted on his Facebook page.

Mouzon was booked into the Florence County Detention Center and charged with strong armed robbery. At a bond hearing, a judge gave Mouzon a $15,000 surety and $15,000 cash bond.
