MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Santee Cooper technicians joined police and fire crews on the scene of a car crash in Myrtle Beach.
A WMBF News photographer reports a car drove into a utility pole near the intersection of 62nd Avenue North and Highway 17 Bypass Monday night. Myrtle Beach Police and Fire crews were on the scene around 10:30 p.m.
Santee Cooper technicians were also called to assess the damage, and make needed repairs to fallen lines, which rested on top of the car. One person was trapped in the car as the wires sat on top of it, our photographer witnessed.
It is unknown if they were injured. Our photographer said Highway 17 southbound was blocked at 62nd Avenue for a short time. According to the South Carolina Department of Transportation's traffic map, traffic was flowing normally by 11:30 p.m.
