Funny man Chris Tucker coming to Florence Civic Center

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – Funny guy Chris Tucker has been in many movies over the last two decades, and will soon come from the big screen to the comedy stage at the Florence Civic Center.

On September 14, Chris Tucker is headlining a one-night show at the civic center. Also appearing for the evening is Terry Hodges, whose stand-up performances have been seen around the nation.

Tucker is best known for playing the role of Detective James Carter in the Rush Hour film series. He became a frequent stand-up performer on Def Comedy Jam in the 1990s. He came to prominence in the 1995 film Friday alongside Ice Cube. He starred and executive produced "Money Talks" with Charlie Sheen, and also appeared in "The Fifth Element".

Tucker currently appears in the Oscar-nominated film "Silver Lining Playbook". His stand-up comedy tour has received rave reviews around the world.
