Myrtle Beach Police seek vandalism suspects

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach Police are looking for suspects after investigating multiple reports of vandalism.

Myrtle Beach Police were called to reports of vandalism within the city limits between 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 a.m. Friday.

Some of the property damaged by the alleged vandals was city property, and the city is working to clean the signs. The vandals also struck on private property, including two beachwear stores. The owners of those properties will be responsible for cleaning up the graffiti on their own dime.

Police spokesman Captain David Knipes said based on what is written by the vandals, police do believe each crime was committed by the same person, or group of people.

According to police reports, there are two male suspects in their late teens or early twenties.

The while male is medium height and weight with a short "buzz" hair cut. He was wearing a white t-shirt and dark jeans, and appeared to have injured his left eye. The black male had ear length dreadlocks, a dark complexion and wore a white plain tank top.

Anyone with information on these suspects is asked to call Myrtle Beach Police.
