20th Annual Pee Dee Deer Classic kicks off Friday

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – The 20th Annual Pee Dee Deer Classic kicks off Friday, bringing hunting vendors, live animals, a reality TV actor, sporting contests, and more to the Florence Civic Center.

The event runs from 1 p.m. Friday until 6 p.m. Sunday, and features 65,000 square feet of deer hunting products, camouflage, tree stands, archery, guns, truck accessories, outfitters, knives, taxidermy, and more.

Bruce Mitchell from "Swamp People" will be meeting and greeting fans on Saturday and Sunday. Attendees will also be able to see live Arctic wolves and a 12-foot alligator.

There will also be a 3-D archery tournament, a laser skeet shooting simulator from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, and a paint ball challenge for kids.

Admission is $10 for adults, $3 for kids 7 to 12, and free for kids under 6. Parking is free.
