Darlington Police seek car theft suspect

DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) - A stolen car has been found in Columbia, but police need your help locating the man they think took it from it's owner.

According to Darlington Police spokeswoman Sgt. Nelson, 48-year-old Norris Hudson Jr. of Darlington asked to borrow a friend's car to drive to his sister's home in Florence on April 19.

His friend originally told him no, but the car turned up missing later in the day. It was the victim's neighbor who noticed the car was gone, claiming he thought the owner wasn't home because the car wasn't there. The neighbor did remember seeing Hudson Jr. Leave with the car.

The car was later found in Columbia, but Hudson Jr. was not located. He is now wanted for motor vehicle theft.
