We are quickly approaching the summer tourism season and more and more people will be cruising around the area on mopeds.
Mopeds on major highways are dangerous. When a moped is traveling 25 miles per hour on a road where other traffic is traveling at 55 miles per hour there is a very good chance that someone is going to die.
Just like the rules for golf carts, mopeds should only be allowed on secondary streets. The state legislature needs to change the laws for mopeds and make our streets safer.
