Myrtle Beach DRC updates website; Five Points hopes to make comeback

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The Downtown Redevelopment Corporation in Myrtle Beach is focusing on attracting new investor's downtown with help from their new website.

The website is revamped with a fancy new design, and has the ability to give potential investors a virtual tour of the entire downtown area. The site used to be geared to the boardwalk, but now the DRC wants to focus elsewhere.

The expansion has technology that gives investors a real-time look into what Myrtle Beach has to offer, by allowing them to feel like they are actually in the location without having to travel.

The DRC hopes see dollars poured into the downtown stretch.

One area looking to improve, and bring in more business is Five Points. The Five Points Association has appointed a familiar name to be their executive director.

Their goal is to become a big spot on the Myrtle Beach map once more.
