MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Myrtle Beach Police arrested a Colorado man Sunday afternoon who had two confirmed warrants out of his home state, and found over 27 grams of cocaine in his vehicle, according to reports.

At about 3:30 p.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to a hotel in the 1300 block of North Ocean Boulevard in reference to reports of someone selling narcotics out of a suspicious car with Colorado registration, according to the Myrtle Beach Police incident report.

The offender, identified as 31-year-old Christopher Allen Major, told police he and a friend were looking for a room at the hotel, the report states. The officer ran the offender through the National Crime Information Center database and found he had two active warrants out of Colorado.

Major was arrested for being a fugitive from justice and transported to MBPD jail, the release states. While searching the vehicle, an officer found several cigarette packs containing 14 baggies of an off-white powder, with a combined weight of 27.2 grams. The substance tested positive for the presence of cocaine.

Major is now at J. Reuben Long Detention Center, charged with trafficking in cocaine, and awaiting extradition to Colorado, the police report states.
