MBPD respond to disturbance, arrest VA fugitive

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The Myrtle Beach Police Department responded to a call Saturday morning in reference to a disturbance at the White Sands Hotel, and found a man wanted for Fugitive from Justice, in Danville, VA. 

Dennis James Nealy, 53, of Danville, VA, reportedly called police around 1:48 a.m. Saturday, stating someone had stolen his money. When officers were able to calm Nealy down, the reporting officer asked for his identification.

Dispatch advised that Nealy is wanted out of VA for Fugitive from Fustice. He is wanted out of VA for Larceny with full extradition. When dispatch confirmed Nealy's status with the Danville Police Department and through NCIC, Nealy was arrested and transported to the Myrtle Beach Jail.

If convicted, Nealy's warrant carries over one year in prison, according to the police report.
