Police, dog team hunt for bank robbery suspect

LITTLE RIVER, SC (WMBF) - Police are currently searching for a man believed to be the suspect in a bank robbery in Little River.

That man reportedly robbed the First Bank at the intersection of Highway 17 and Mineola Avenue Friday afternoon. According to Horry County Police spokesman Sgt. Robert Kegler, the suspect is believed to have fled toward the waterfront area.

Officers have set up a perimeter, and a dog team is en route to search for him.

So far the only description provided of the suspect is that it is a male, possibly wearing blue jeans and a hoodie.

It is unknown if the man took any money. WMBF News has a crew en route to the scene to bring you the latest information.
