Local churches host Fire-aid for Carolina Forest fire victims

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Four local churches are joining together to host Fire-aid, an event benefiting victims of the Carolina Forest fire, on Sunday May 5 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. They hope to provide counseling and spiritual outreach to victims of the fire, as well as the community as a whole.

Journey Church is hosting Fire-aid alongside Parkway Church, The Rock and LC3. They are teaming up to hold the event at the old Legends in Concert location, which is now Journey Church. The fun will include inflatable rides for kids, refreshments and a love offering.

They will have a "needs now" board, similar to an Angel Tree. They are asking victims that can attend to express the needs they have, even big-ticket items. The churches hope the victims can get connected with people that want to help them get items they need, such as rent, clothes, tuition, car payments, car, baby food, etc.
