GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) - A former Georgetown restaurant owner is facing additional charges of prostitution after his first arrest in April 2013.
46-year-old Kenneth Carl Terry of Georgetown was arrested and charged on Tuesday, July 16 with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, promoting the prostitution of a minor, and three counts of prostitution in his former restaurant the Krazy Fish on Front Street.
Back in April, Terry was charged with four counts of solicitation for prostitution for allegedly propositioning young teens in his restaurant.
Arrest warrants released back in May after Terry's arrest revealed that "based on the two witness statements it is believed Kenneth Carl Terry AKA "KC" and his partner have been paying young people to perform sexual acts for the purpose of making money as well as the sexual gratification of Kenneth Terry...Based on Witness 1 and Witness 2 statements there is first hand knowledge of minors under the age of 18 being provided alcohol by Terry."
The paid sexual acts they refer to in the warrants were apparently uploaded and streamed live on a pornographic website, profits from which Terry promised a share of to his business partner for help recruiting young men to participate.
On Monday, July 15, Donovan Miller was also arrested and charged with two counts of prostitution in connection to the case.
Captain Nelson Brown with the Georgetown Police Department said, "It's just not normal for prostitution to go on, on Front Street at the main business area of Georgetown. We never had it before."
Captain Brown added that even though the investigation is wrapping up, that doesn't mean more charges wont be filed. "As you interview people, and they give you information it leads you to more people. It depends on what those interviews produce."
