MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – More than 50 teams are competing in the fifth annual Ground Zero Boat Festival at the Market Common on Saturday.

The event helps raise funds for Ground Zero, a non-profit organization aimed at transforming the lives of children in the community.

"Ground Zero helps our children in the community with all different types of projects and concerts," said Clinton Belyski, who participated in the races today on team "Old World". "It's really a great thing to be doing. We already pre-registered for next year. It's definitely something I'm going to continue doing. It's a great day out, great day for bonding, and a lot of fun."

Dragon boating is the fastest-growing international team water sport. The festival includes entertainment, family-fun-zone and places to get food and drinks.
