Suspect faces charges for string of car break-ins

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A Myrtle Beach man is facing a laundry list of charges for a string of vehicle break-ins spanning over several months.

Myrtle Beach resident, 20-year-old Jeffrey J. Nezich, was booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center and charged with 22 counts of breaking into a motor vehicle or tanks, pumps, where fuel is stored.

Horry County Police Department spokesman Sgt. Robert Kegler says that arrest links back to break-ins reported between April 18 and August 29, 2012, all taking place in the 29579 zip code.

The vehicle break-ins were reported in the following areas:

- Flint Lake Court
- Quinn Road
- Ducane Road
- World Tour Blvd
- Blue River Court
- Silver Crest Drive
- McKendree Lane
- Buckston Drive, twice
- Thistle Lane
- Waterway Village Blvd
- Esher Court
- Sallyport Drive
- Beauclaire Drive
- Dove Haven Lane
- Arrowwood Court

Kegler says, "Cell phones, money, purses, electronics, golf clubs" were among the items stolen during the break-ins.

Bail has not been set.
