NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Any female looking for pointers on how to defend herself can attend an event the North Myrtle Beach Police Department is sponsoring on April 20.
A news release from the North Myrtle Beach Police Department stated the cost is $27 per person or $25 per person if there are multiple female members of the same household.
No prior martial-arts training is required and no special attire is needed for participants, who will learn realistic self-defense techniques that they can quickly incorporate into their lives.
The event will be held at the J. Bryan Floyd Community Center at 1030 Possum Trot Road, North Myrtle Beach. It will take place from 10:15 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. with instructor David Smith.
No outside observation is allowed, and females under 14 years-of-age must be accompanied by a paying female older than 18.
Participants must pre-register with the front desk staff at the J. Bryan Community Center by April 19 at 3:00 p.m.
