NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The Monday After the Masters Tournament in North Myrtle Beach has seen huge numbers this year, selling out the tournament of around 6,000 tickets faster than ever before.
Tournament organizers say the more-than-19-year event is really catching attention, and putting a huge focus on marketing the Grand Strand area.
There have been some changes you need to know about. Due to the rain early Monday morning, the broadcast location of ESPN Radio's Mike & Mike in the Morning Show has been moved to the House of Blue Music Hall. The show, which will also be simulcast live on ESPN2, will air from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and the public is welcome to attend free of charge.
Dunkin Donuts will be serving free breakfast to the first 200 people. Doors to the House of Blues will open at 5:30 a.m.
The Mike & Mike broadcast will kick off Hootie & the Blowfish Monday After the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am festivities. With the weather expected to clear out by mid-morning, the event will begin with the Celebrity Long Drive contest at 10 a.m. and the tournament starts at 11 a.m.
Shuttle Buses to the Dye Course for all those who have tickets to the event will begin departing at 8:30 AM from the House of Blues/Alabama Theatre parking lot.
