HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Atlantic hurricane season is less than two months away, and the American Red Cross, Coastal South Carolina Chapter and the Myrtle Beach Chapter of NAACP are partnering to offer Horry County disaster relief training sessions.
According to a news release from the Red Cross, there will be two training sessions. The public is invited to attend on Saturday May 4, or Saturday June 15, and both sessions will be from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Red Cross Myrtle B each training facility.
There will be limited seating, so individuals interested in attending should RSVP today.
Each year, the American Red Cross immediately responds to about 70,000 natural and man-made disasters in the US. These include fires, hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, hazardous material spills, transportation accidents and explosions.
