Storm Fest 2013

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Join the WMBF Storm Team this Saturday, April 13 at the field, home of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, for StormFest 2013, hosted by Horry County, the City of Myrtle Beach, and the National Weather Service.

Join Chief Meteorologist Jamie Arnold and meteorologist Jessica Ryan at the field from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a fun, free event your whole family will enjoy.

StormFest 2013 will feature booths and displays from local emergency management offices, South Carolina Children's Museum, Horry Electric and the Solid Waste Authority.

The Storm Team will also be on hand to let you test your "on-air" weather skills on the green screen, and to show off a tornado simulator!

Attendees can also meet military personnel, show their support, and test their skills on a repelling wall while visiting the National Guard and Kangaroo Express tents at StormFest.

StormFest 2013 has a lot to offer the kids, including thumbprint bookmarks, beanbag tosses, meet-the-linemen, a playground, bounce houses and more!

Need another incentive? The first 1,000 Roo Cup fans to visit the Kangaroo Express tent at Stormfest will win a free Kangaroo Express Roo Cup and enjoy 25 cent refills at Kangaroo Express all summer long.

You can and share your photos from Storm Fest, and text "FORECAST" to 84300 for daily weather alerts from the WMBF Storm team!
