NORTH MRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A vacation home sustained "significant damage" from a structure fire Monday morning; fire crews responded and extinguished the flames.
North Myrtle Beach Public Safety crews extinguished the fire at home, located in the 300 block of 53rd Avenue North, according to North Myrtle Beach spokesperson Patrick Dowling.
The woman who owns the vacation property was home when the fire starts, a North Myrtle Beach fire official said, and she made it out without injuries.
The residence is considered a total loss, officials said, and the neighboring house received damage to the siding from the fire's heat.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
