Posted: Updated:

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A threat at MYR caused the evacuation and grounding of flights on Saturday, according to Kirk Lovell, the Marketing Director for the airport.

Lovell says "normal procedures" were followed for when a threat is made. Sergeant Robert Kegler with the Horry County Police Department confirmed a bomb threat was made.

Police are investigating this matter and any new information will be updated by WMBF News as it becomes available.
