HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Power has been restored to about 252 households near the Green Sea Airport in Horry County after a brief outage Monday morning, according to an update from the Horry County Electric Cooperative.

The outage occurred near Highway 9 and Carolina Road, according to the Horry County Electric Cooperative website. Residents in the area were without power for about an hour.

Officials with the company confirmed that power was restored. They say the outage was caused by a capacitor, and the problem has been resolved. The outage was isolated to one circuit out of the Green Sea substation.
