CONWAY – Coastal Carolina football hosted its annual Palmetto Pro Day on Thursday with 19 student-athletes – including 10 former Chanticleers – showcasing their skills for professional scouts that represented six teams (the Browns, Broncos, Chiefs, Jets, Jaguars and Saints).

The event started in the Chanticleers' locker room, where the players were measured for height, weight, hand width, arm length and wing span. The players then transitioned to the Watson Strength and Conditioning Center where they took turns at the standing broad jump and the vertical leap. The indoor portion of the workout ended with the famed 225-pound bench press.

The workout then moved outside to the practice field where the prospects were timed in the 40-yard dash, the three-cone drill and the shuttle run. The day closed with the student-athletes going through individual position-specific drills.

Of the Coastal Carolina representatives, offensive lineman Pat Williams led in the 225-pound bench press with 23 reps, while defensive lineman Quinton Davis and running back Eric O'Neal had vertical leaps of 36 inches. Former safety Marcus Lott, who spent time in the New York Jets' training camp last summer, posted a Coastal-best in the broad jump (10 -2). O'Neal owned Coastal's fastest 40-yard dash time of the day, stopping the watch at 4.57.
