MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Marc Hadden is a husband, father, part-time police officer and fireman for the City of Myrtle Beach, and now he's being recognized for his success.

Hadden, who is the son of Horry County Deputy Sheriff Bill Hadden, has been named Myrtle Beach Fire Department's Firefighter of the Year.

When he's not putting out fires he serves as a part-time police officer for Coastal Carolina University. Hadden is married with three kids - one of which he adopted after assisting in her delivery.

WMBF News got the exclusive interview with the Hadden family after they adopted their daughter Grace. Marc delivered that baby after responding to a 911 call.

"I don't know if I have words. I never envisioned that I would have a daughter. We are truly blessed, for sure," says Marc.

Shortly after expanding their family, friends and family joined forces to expand their home.

Proud father Marc Hadden cheers, "I don't know what we would have done because we have definitely outgrown our home. So we're just truly blessed to have friends that will pull together for us like this."

Hadden's award was one of many granted as part of the Myrtle Beach Employee Recognition Program. Here's the full list of those nominated for these well-deserved honors. Winners are in italics.:
