Florence man wanted for alleged murder in NC arrested

FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A Florence man wanted for an alleged murder in North Carolina was arrested with the help of the Florence County SWAT Team and SLED agents Tuesday without incident, officials state.

James Maurieo Hunter, 32, was arrested by Florence County Sheriff's deputies on March 26 on an arrest warrant issued by the Charlotte Macklenburg Police Department, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

Deputies, SWAT team members and SLED agents arrested Hunter at his home in the 3700 block of Southborough Road in Florence. He was wanted for a murder that allegedly occurred in North Carolina on February 25, 2013, officials stated. Hunter offered no resistance and was taken into custody without incident.
