HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Horry County Coroner Robert Edge tells WMBF News, 27-year-old Chaquesha Davis died when she lost control of her car, tried to overcorrect and ended up crashing into the tree line around 4:30 a.m Tuesday.
The scene of a deadly crash on Highway 905 at Parker Road was cleared, and the road was reopened Tuesday at about 9:10 a.m.
We are told Davis was on her way home from work at the time of the crash. South Carolina Highway Patrol officials confirmed she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the car.
Highway 905 was reopened after being closed in both directions for several hours. The wreckage was loaded onto a tow truck, and investigators cleared the scene.
