Crews respond to house fire in Florence Tuesday night

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – West Florence Firefighters responded to a vacant house on fire on Hoffmeyer Road near Quail Pointe Drive Tuesday evening.

Units were dispatched at around 7:51 p.m., according to West Florence Fire Department spokesperson Anthony Fox. Two engines, two tankers and a rescue truck responded with 15 firefighters.

Crews had the fire under control in about an hour, Fox said, and there were no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Florence County Sheriff's Office Arson unit.
