COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

A man convicted of murder in a deadly shooting after a failed drug deal has been sentenced to life in prison.

After a week-long trial, a Richland County jury convicted 21-year-old Jabriel Singleton in the murder of 24-year-old Dashawn Jones in 2012.  He was also found guilty of attempted murder for shooting Jonathan Frazier.

After the verdict was handed down, Judge Knox McMahon sentenced Singleton to life in prison without parole for the murder charge and 30 years for the attempted murder conviction.

Prosecutors say Singleton shot Jones and Frazier after agreeing to sell them marijuana and an XBOX while working together at a recording studio in Hopkins.  Prosecutors say Jones and Frazier were shot "numerous times."

After a two-day manhunt, Singleton was found at a local hotel after the shooting.
