PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WMBF) – The second bank robbery this week in Georgetown County took place Friday morning, sheriff's officials confirmed.
Georgetown County Sheriff's deputies responded to an armed bank robbery 10:22 a.m. at CNB, located at 10608 Ocean Highway in Pawleys Island, officials with the department confirmed.
The suspect has been described as a white man in his late 30's to early 40's with short gray hair and glasses. He was wearing a black baseball cap with "Police" on it, a black leather jacket, military-style cargo pants, and white tennis shoes, officials stated.
The suspect left on foot traveling south toward North Causeway, according to officials.
NBSC Bank at 3796 Highway 17 in Murrells Inlet was robbed on Monday afternoon; a sheriff's spokesperson said the suspect did not brandish a weapon and was seen driving off in a blue hatchback vehicle in an unknown direction.
