DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) – Three people are under arrest after a shooting Wednesday night in Darlington left a man with a non-life-threatening injury.
Gregory Young, 25, was picked up in Florence late Wednesday night during a traffic stop, according to Darlington Police Chief Daniel Watson. He has been charged with attempted murder, and two others are charged with being an accessory.
At about 7:19 p.m. Wednesday, there was an altercation involving Watson and an unnamed man in his early 20's over damage to Young's vehicle, Chief Watson said. The altercation took place in the street in the 400 block of Parrott Street in Darlington.
The victim was shot in the lower extremities and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries, Chief Watson explained.
Young was arrested and booked into Darlington County Detention Center overnight.
