GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) – The Georgetown County Library and SC Works Waccamaw are hosting a job fair for veterans March 9 at 9 a.m. through noon, according to a news release from the Georgetown County Library.

Dozens of hiring businesses will attend this event, says the library. There will be mini-financial fitness tutorials to help veterans manage the money they make at new jobs. There will also be a "resume doctor" to help with online job applications, and one-on-one interview practice.

"The library's purpose is to provide free, unbiased information and services," says Library Director Dwight McInvaill. "We're so happy to host job fairs, because we're a place people can trust."

The job fair is sponsored by the Georgetown Library, SC Works Waccamaw, and a grant provided through a partnership of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Investor Education Foundation and the American Library Association.

"I hope every hero gets hired," says McInvaill.
