Crews repairing traffic light defect at Hwy. 501 and Waccamaw Pines

CAROLINA FOREST, SC (WMBF) - There is a traffic light defect at the intersection of Hwy 501 & Waccamaw Pines Dr., according to South Carolina Highway Patrol officials.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation will be out there all day to repair the traffic light, said SCHP spokesperson Sonny Collins. While DOT crews are present, the left turn lane on the Conway-bound side will be closed.

Traffic in all other directions will flow as usual; however, this left turn lane closure could still cause some backups, WMBF Traffic reporter Erika Gonzalez said.
