WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) - Prison records indicate a man charged in a series of armed robberies in Wilmington also went on a similar six-day crime rampage in Raleigh more than a year ago.
Officers were staking out several late-night businesses Monday when a taxi driver was robbed. Huggins was seen driving and was arrested. He's being held in the New Hanover County jail on $1 million bail.
Department of Correction records show Huggins has several larceny charges in North Carolina dating back to 2007. He also has outstanding charges stemming from a series of armed robberies in Raleigh and Cary in November 2011.
